The Moscow Times reports Milla Jovovich was interviewed for Channel One’s One-Story America. From The Moscow Times:
In 1935, satirical writers Ilya Ilf and Yevgeny Petrov drove from New York to the Mexican border and back in a Ford. They spoke only schoolboy English and couldn’t drive, but these obstacles weren’t allowed to stand in the way of their commission from Pravda newspaper to write a book on the United States. Accompanied by a left-wing American couple — the wife driving and the Russian-speaking husband interpreting — they applied their comic talents to such strange phenomena as drugstores, ham and eggs, striptease shows and chewing gum advertisements.
Somehow the resulting book, “One-Story America,” was far from Soviet propaganda: While condemning capitalism as a system, Ilf and Petrov drew a surprisingly affectionate portrait of a country where the water always ran hot and cold, the waitresses were pretty and efficient and drivers would always stop to aid a fellow traveler.
More than 70 years later, a crew from Channel One repeated Ilf and Petrov’s journey for a new documentary series, also titled “One-Story America,” which starts Feb. 11. The roles of Ilf and Petrov were taken by Vladimir Pozner, a television veteran who co-hosted perestroika-era broadcasts with Phil Donahue, and his much younger colleague at Channel One, Ivan Urgant, who hosts various cooking and light entertainment shows.

One-Story America airs weekly starting from Mon. at 10:30 p.m. on Channel One.
