Oh my gosh! Variety (a generally very reliable source for movie news) reports Milla Jovovich has been cast as an alcoholic former stripper in the upcoming directorial debut of actor William H. Macy, titled Keep Coming Back, currently slated for a 2010 release. From Variety.com:
Milla Jovovich will star as an alcoholic former stripper in Keep Coming Back, a coming-of-age comedy that marks the directorial debut of veteran actor William H. Macy. Story sees a young man with a sheltered upbringing join an Alcoholics Anonymous group in order to seduce the woman of his dreams (Jovovich). Macy and pal Steve Buscemi also star.
Although it’s worth keeping in mind Milla’s involvement in this production is as of yet a rumor until an official source either confirms or denies it, I am personally feeling quite confident that this film is happening, which is why I’ll shortly be adding it to her list of upcoming productions; although IMDb currently has little additional information to offer on the film, Variety rarely gets it wrong. I can’t wait for this one, sounds like an interesting film for Milla, particularly since it’s been a while since we last saw her do any kind of comedy.
Update Nov 8: Confirmed! Just as I predicted. Milla Jovovich’s official site has confirmed her involvement in Keep Coming Back. Variety never disappoints!
