It’s been a while since we had any news on writer-director David Twohy’s honeymoon thriller A Perfect Getaway, hasn’t it? According to an initial November ‘08 blog post by Twohy himself, the trailer for the film might show before MGM’s Valkyrie, however people are now reporting online this is unfortunately not the case. So what’s going on?
Well, we don’t know. Sorry. Heck, we don’t even know if the film is still called A Perfect Getaway, or rather the rumored Middle of Nowhere. The expected U.S. release date for the film remains March 13 2009, however, until officially stated otherwise. We’ll keep you posted, as always, whenever new information becomes available to us.
Meanwhile, Creators.com has a lovely blurb regarding A Perfect Getaway and Milla’s involvement in the film. From Creators.com:
Milla Jovovich shows off her amazing constitution in one of her most physically demanding performances to date — which is saying a lot for the Resident Evil actress — in David Twohy’s forthcoming A Perfect Getaway with Tim Olyphant and Steve Zahn. At least, so says producer Mark Canton. He notes, “We shot in Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Hawaii, and she was constantly being called upon to do scenes with her running, swimming and fighting — she never let down, just did it. She has a huge fight with Kiele Sanchez of Lost in the movie,” he lets us know.
“It’s a really cool thriller, and she is just wonderful in it,” he gushes of the feature in which Jovovich and Zahn play honeymooners who discover their tour guides are really assassins. “She’s such a great combination of actress and person.”
