Although David Twohy’s A Perfect Getaway is just around the corner, I thought this would be an appropriate time to catch up with some of Milla Jovovich’s other rumored and confirmed upcoming projects in terms of updates in progress. Kicking things off with…

Stone: John Curran’s drama thriller Stone (2010), co-starring Edward Norton and Robert De Niro has been added to Milla’s IMDb filmography as “rumored” (although the news has been confirmed by her official site). The film’s IMDb page furthermore has a synopsis for the film, and Milla’s character has a name: Lucetta. From the Internet Movie Database:

A convicted arsonist looks to manipulate a parole officer into a plan to secure his parole by placing his beautiful wife in the lawman’s path.

Resident Evil 4: The upcoming Resident Evil 4 (2010), which Milla’s screenwriter fiancé Paul W.S. Anderson has discussed with online sources from time to time, has also been added to Milla’s filmography as “rumored”, while the film’s status on IMDb is now set as “Pre-production” with the following additional comments: “Scripting complete; casting has begun”. Filming locations are said to be Alaska, USA and Tokyo, Japan; based on this information I think it’s pretty safe to say the fourth film will pick up where Extinction left us off. Other casting rumors include Austin Peck (Days of Our Lives) as Kevin Ryman and Jensen Ackles (Supernatural) as Leon S. Kennedy. No director is yet onboard. Milla’s involvement has not been confirmed in any way, however; please keep that in mind.

The Winter Queen: Things have been very quiet around Paul Verhoeven’s Winter Queen (2010), previously titled Azazel, since Milla’s pregnancy announcement in April 2007. The film’s IMDb page remains unchanged, however Empire Online reports Verhoeven recently signed on to direct The Surrogate, so The Winter Queen might still be a way off yet. The article does mention the latter, however, stating the film is currently in “pre-production”. Go figure.
