Fashion Week Daily were at the September 30 BVLGARI Paris Store Opening and asked Milla regarding the rumored shutdown of Jovovich-Hawk, which she confirmed to the website. From Fashion Week Daily:

We couldn’t help but ask Milla Jovovich about her decision to shutter her much-praised Jovovich-Hawk line at last night’s Bulgari party. “We ended on a high note,” she said. “Target sold out in three days. But we’re weren’t designers anymore, we were production managers.” Regardless, Jovovich’s designer days are far from over. “Now I’m here in Paris meeting with bigger houses about doing designing for them,” she revealed. “Unfortunately, Carmen’s not working with me anymore–she’s taking pictures–but I am definitely going to keep designing.” Where, oh where will her designs end up? Let the speculation begin.

Daugher Ever, meanwhile, was back chez eux. “We rented an apartment this week, so we have a kitchen and we cook her food,” said Jovovich. “We prefer it that way. It’s actually better than a hotel!”

Aww… what shame. Good to hear she’s not giving up designing, though!

I really don’t want to be posting anything much on the site before the move is complete. However, I thought this possible bit of news is big enough to deserve some attention. In the most recent issue of US fashion and shopping magazine Lucky (the cover of which Milla graces, by the way — but more on that later), Milla was quoted rather ambiguously regarding the future of her clothing line Jovovich-Hawk, something which fashion websites are now intepreting as a shutdown announcement. From Racked.com:

It seems that model/actress/designer Milla Jovovich is tired of all the multi-tasking she’s been doing lately. In the latest issue of Lucky magazine, Milla reveals that she’s decided to kill her clothing line Jovovich-Hawk, which she was designing with friend and fellow former model Carmen Hawk. She phrases it a bit differently, though. “It’s like, When one door closes…I’m in a time of rediscovery, from my career to my personal style.” The line, which was carried at high-end doors like Fred Segal, was created in 2003. There’s no word yet as to whether Carmen will continue to design.

Thoughts, guys? Is Jovovich-Hawk really at an end? Can anyone confirm (or negate) this?

Partly to make up for the longer than expected hiatus, I’ve uploaded another 10 new Milla videos to the media archive which I hope you’ll enjoy. They are mostly public appearance- and TV commercial-clips this time around. Please remember that you have to be registered and logged in at the media archive in order to download the clips. Enjoy!

Speaking of the media archive, since we’re already well into March, I won’t be doing a calendar for the month. I’ll make another Milla calendar again for April. Sorry, guys!

More Jovovich-Hawk for you today. Target.com has a nice 30s commercial in which Milla and co-designer Carmen Hawk promote their Target collection. Just select “Commercial” from the menu once you’ve reached the Jovovich-Hawk section of the page. I’m having some difficulty getting a copy of the ad, but have nevertheless made a handful of screen captures of it for your viewing pleasure.

I’d also like to remind you that the Jovovich-Hawk Target collection is only available in stores until April 12, so if you want your Jovovich-Hawk piece, you’d better hurry up!

“I gained, like, 70 pounds. I was a very monumental woman.”

Milla and Carmen Hawk were recently on Access Hollywood to promote the Jovovich-Hawk Target line, which was launched on March 2 in the U.S, and both ladies were looking as lovely as ever. A video clip of the interview is available at AccessHollywood.com – it will soon be added to our video archive as well.

If you are for some reason unable to watch the clip, you might want to have a look at our medium-res screen captures of Milla and Carmen on the show. Don’t forget to check out the Jovovich-Hawk collection for Target at Target.com! More on Jovovich-Hawk later today.

We have an update on the upcoming Jovovich-Hawk collection for Target! Javno.com reports the collection will be made available on March 2 2008, and the site also features a preview of the collection, which is certainly worth checking out if you are interested in purchasing items from the collection. From Javno.com:

The two designed their new collection for the Target retail chain. The first pieces of the collection have been unveiled and they have the folk stamp of the designers. Dresses with vintage floral prints are ideal for the warm months. The assortment also includes bathing suits and jeans and the prices are very favourable. Last year Milla and Carmen were announced as Target’s tenth Go international designers.

Milla has made her first appearance in 2008! Yesterday, she attended three different fashion events at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York, looking absolutely lovely as always. It’s so good to see some proper Milla coverage! This also marks Milla’s first event appearance since the September 2007 premiere of Resident Evil: Extinction. Others photographed alongside her include Paula Patton, Anne Hathaway, Ashley Olsen, Carmen Hawk and my other favorite fashion forerunner alongside Milla, Chloë Sevigny.

I’ve added a total of 67 96 medium- and high-res images of Milla at the Fashion Week to the gallery. Click on the below gallery links and preview to navigate your way to and through the new photos. Enjoy!
