Thanks to the good Millafan, a local in Puerto Rico where the production team for A Perfect Getaway was recently spotted, we have more information on the film’s production schedule and locations. Most of the filming will be done in Puerto Rico, although according to The Hollywood Reporter some filming will also take place in Hawaii.

Filming for A Perfect Getaway seems indeed to have begun, as on April 2, Milla was spotted shooting a wedding scene for the film at the Normandie Hotel in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Filming in Puerto Rico will continue for a few months, where many (if not all) of the action scenes will be shot. Many thanks to millafan for the heads-up!

Update: A Perfect Getaway has been added to Milla’s filmography at IMDb.com, where the name of her character is listed as “Cydney”. Milla and Steve Zahn will portray lovers on a Hawaiian honeymoon when a pair of killers (portrayed by Timothy Olyphant and Kiele Sanchez) begin to stalk them.

Update 2: Someone at Facebook has posted photos from the San Juan, Puerto Rico set. I can’t really make out if Milla is in any of these, but if you’re interested in the film they’re surely worth a look, especially since these are the first photos of the set I’ve seen. If anyone happens to be on location and is able to snap and send in a few photos of Milla shooting the film, it would be much appreciated!

Just a quick heads-up to you all that production for A Perfect Getaway should have begun on March 31 in Puerto Rico and Hawaii according to The Hollywood Reporter. No word on whether Milla is already on location and shooting the film, but naturally, we’ll let you know if any Milla news and/or footage from the set surfaces online. Stay tuned!

Update Apr 4: Millafan, a local, tells me Milla is indeed in Puerto Rico. That doesn’t necessarily mean she’s begun shooting the film yet, but it does seem likely that filming for her has either begun or will do so soon. Thanks for the heads-up, millafan!

We have news of a potential new film project for Milla! According to The Hollywood Reporter, Milla has signed on to do A Perfect Getaway, a David Twohy-written and directed thriller co-starring Timothy Oliphant and Steve Zahn. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Milla Jovovich and Kiele Sanchez have signed on to star in David Twohy’s A Perfect Getaway for Relativity Media. Jovovich and Sanchez join Timothy Olyphant and Steve Zahn in the thriller, which revolves around a newlywed couple on their honeymoon in Hawaii who run into two hikers who turn out to be vicious killers. Jovovich will play Zahn’s new wife, while Sanchez will play Olyphant’s companion.

Production is reportedly set to begin March 31st in Puerto Rico and Hawaii. I’m not entirely sure this is confirmed news, but considering a lot of news sources are reporting this (including Reuters), I think it is fairly reliable news. We’ll keep you posted in case more news on this surfaces online.
