Well, that’s a wrap! Wherever you are, we hope everyone was able to tune in to Milla Jovovich performing live online with her friends Chris Brenner, Danny Lohner and Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba. The roughly hour-long performance on Vokle.com ended just moments ago, and here’s our coverage of it to those who missed it.

Although the performance started nearly 50 minutes late, at roughly 5:50 PM EST, it was well worth the wait. Spontaneous, inspired, warm, even a little improvised, Milla and friends performed the following set of songs for our hearing pleasure:

1. “Gentleman Who Fell” (remix) – from Milla’s 1994 debut album, The Divine Comedy
2. “The Mission” – Milla’s 2009 collaboration with Maynard James Keenan’s band, Puscifer
3. “Lazy Orbit” – an unreleased “demo” Milla herself has published on her official site

The three-song set was followed by some inspired jamming from Milla and Matt Skiba, after which they threw an “encore performance” of all three aforementioned songs, before finally calling it a day, music-wise (she’s actually right now doing a live, post-concert video chat with her fans via Vokle.com!).

Looks like Resident Evil: Afterlife has been rescheduled — again! This time, according to the sources at ShockTillYouDrop.com, the Paul W.S. Anderson-directed fourth installment in the Resident Evil zombie film franchise has been pushed up from the previously rumored January 2011 release to September 10 2010. Well, we certainly won’t object to that! From ShockTillYouDrop.com:

A few months back, we reported that Paul Anderson’s Resident Evil: Afterlife was moved back to January 2011 in order to give the director more time for the computer process needed to release the movie in 3D. (You can read those original stories here and here.)

At the time, actress Milla Jovovich, who has played Alice in all four movies, claimed on her Twitter feed that the release date change wasn’t definite. The move also would have put the fourth installment up against MGM’s own 3D horror flick Cabin in the Woods, forcing them to split digital 3D screens. It looks like Anderson won’t be needing that extra time for the FX and 3D after all, as ShockTillYouDrop has learned that things are back on track for Resident Evil: Afterlife to be released not on September 24 as originally slated, but two weeks earlier on September 10!

The September release will continue the “Resident Evil” tradition as both of the last two installments of the franchise were released in the month to solid success.

Afterlife stars Milla Jovovich as Alice opposite Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Boris Kodjoe and Spencer Locke.

As many of you will know, Milla Jovovich has been generously sharing video and photo material with her fans via her Twitter account @MillaJovovich, as launched in November 2009. Now, as announced on Twitter, Milla will be throwing a rare live online performance of three songs for her fans! Continue reading for more details, coming straight from the source via Twitter.

The live performance is currently scheduled for January 15, which will also mark Milla’s second “Twitterbration” in celebration of every 100,000 new followers she gets. Although it is likely Milla will reach 200,000 followers on Twitter before the Jan 15 date (she’s currently at a good 180,000), she says she has postponed the event because she will “be leaving tomorrow 4 my honeymoon”. According to Milla, Matt Skiba of the American punk rock band Alkaline Trio, Danny Lohner and Chris Brenner will also be joining her for the performance.

According to Milla’s Twitter, the acoustic performance will be streamed live via Vokle.com, a website for live online events, on Jan 15 @ 5-6 PM local Los Angeles time. As Milla’s second “Twitterbration” charity Milla would like for people to donate money to the Sophie’s Voice Foundation, the spina bifida treatment research foundation launched by Milla’s Resident Evil: Afterlife co-star Boris Kodjoe and his family (Kodjoe’s daughter was born with the spina bifida-defect). More information on how to donate can be found at SophiesVoiceFoundation.org, while Milla will surely keep us posted on when exactly to do so and be part of her 200k “Twitterbration”.

Don’t miss out on this rare musical treat from Milla! Especially if you’re not familiar with her past and present musical work, this will be an excellent opportunity for her fans to introduce themselves to a whole different side of her. Stay tuned for updates!

News via Milla Jovovich’s Twitter account! Since November this year, Milla has been tweeting actively via her account @MillaJovovich, and has once again broken some news regarding her recent career developments. The essentials:

According to Milla, filming has now wrapped for Resident Evil: Afterlife, the fourth installment in the Resident Evil film franchise. Writer-director (and Milla’s husband) Paul W.S. Anderson and the Afterlife cast, including Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller, Spencer Locke and Boris Kodjoe, have been filming the movie in chilly Toronto, Canada since late September, however the release of the film was recently pushed to January 2011 due to post-production demands. From Milla’s Twitter account:

Well that’s all folks! Picture wrap! Lots of sad faces and goodbyes, its been a paricularly hard one to leave.

This film is gonna rock hardcore, we all did our best and I know it will all b there on screen. So bye bye RE world… 4 now!

Perhaps more exciting, however, is Milla’s Twitter announcement of being the face of iCB! According to Milla’s Twitter updates, she’ll be shooting the campaign tomorrow with renowned photographer and longtime friend, Mario Sorrenti. From the source:

Oh no! Looks like we’ll have to wait for the fourth installment longer than originally reported, as ShockTillYouDrop.com reports the U.S. release for Paul W.S. Anderson’s Resident Evil: Afterlife has been pushed back from the original August 2010 release date to January 14 2011. Milla Jovovich and co-stars Ali Larter, Wentworth Miller and Spencer Locke have been filming Afterlife in Toronto, Canada for the past month. According to the website, the delay is the result of the 3D format the new movie is being filmed in, resulting in post-production requiring additional time. From ShockTillYouDrop.com:

Paul W.S. Anderson and Milla Jovovich have been working hard on the fourth installment of the “Resident Evil” franchise a.k.a. Resident Evil: Afterlife, planned as the first movie in the series filmed using 3D technology. It looks like it’s going to take a little more time to make that movie then they had planned, because ShockTillYouDrop.com has learned that Screen Gems has pushed the movie back until January 14, 2011.

Originally, the movie was to be released in on August 27, 2010, but everyone involved probably realized it would take a lot longer for the post-production 3D processing work, so they’ve given Anderson a few more months to finish the movie and have moved the comic book-based vampire thriller Priest, starring Paul Bettany, up to fill that late summer slot.

Update: Milla Jovovich says Afterlife has not (yet) been officially pushed back! From Milla’s Twitter account:

RE Afterlife IS NOT officially pushed. There have been talks of pushing it as they r not sure they can have it ready by july.

We r trying as hard as we can to still meet the summer deadline though, so for the moment its still on for Aug.

Update Dec 9: AceShowBiz refutes Milla Jovovich’s claims of Afterlife not being delayed with the following:

It seems that fans have to wait a little longer to see Milla Jovovich’s Alice returning to big screen. Despite the actress’ claim that Resident Evil: Afterlife was still scheduled for an August 27, 2010 release date, Screen Gems has provided several sites with a release schedule which mentions that the film is now slated to hit theaters on January 14, 2011. To fill the empty slot, the studio has moved up vampire thriller Priest starring Paul Bettany from its original release date on October 1, 2010.

Update Dec 9: Yup, looks like Afterlife has been pushed back after all. Oh well, what are you gonna do. From Milla’s Twitter account:

RE Afterlife will most likely b released jan ‘11!
