New photos, woo! Yesterday, January 28, Milla Jovovich and husband Paul W.S. Anderson were photographed at the Calvin Klein Collection Special Evening & Cocktail Party to Benefit ALAC in Los Angeles, CA. At the event, a casually chic Milla posed for photographs with among others her Resident Evil: Afterlife co-star Ali Larter as well as actress Bijou Phillips and socialite Nicky Hilton. We’ve already updated the gallery with our first 92 medium- and hi-res photos of Milla and Paul at the event, and will of course continue to make new additions as we find them. Enjoy!

Update Jan 30: We’ve made some 60 new medium-res additions to our collection of photos from this event today. Be sure to check them out!

First public appearance of the year! Well, close enough, anyway.

Last night, Milla Jovovich tweeted about having attended yesterday the Artists for Peace & Justice Private Haiti Fundraiser at writer-director Paul Haggis’ home in Santa Monica, CA:

hey every1! went to a great fundraiser today for haiti relief efforts. it was wonderful, we got to speak to ppl on the ground there on skype

go to www.artistsforpeaceandjustice.com to find out more and donate to help ppl on the ground there right now!

Today, we’ve been able to update the gallery with our first four hi-res photos of Milla (looking incredibly chic and stylish, might I add) and director-husband Paul W.S. Anderson leaving the private event in Santa Monica. Unfortunately, this celebrity event, which according to GossipCenter.com was also attended by such people as Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz, Demi Moore and Pierce Brosnan, having indeed been for invited guests only, it is unlikely we’ll be able to find photos from inside the venue, and you should only expect very minimal media coverage. Sorry!

Well, that’s a wrap! Wherever you are, we hope everyone was able to tune in to Milla Jovovich performing live online with her friends Chris Brenner, Danny Lohner and Alkaline Trio‘s Matt Skiba. The roughly hour-long performance on Vokle.com ended just moments ago, and here’s our coverage of it to those who missed it.

Although the performance started nearly 50 minutes late, at roughly 5:50 PM EST, it was well worth the wait. Spontaneous, inspired, warm, even a little improvised, Milla and friends performed the following set of songs for our hearing pleasure:

1. “Gentleman Who Fell” (remix) – from Milla’s 1994 debut album, The Divine Comedy
2. “The Mission” – Milla’s 2009 collaboration with Maynard James Keenan’s band, Puscifer
3. “Lazy Orbit” – an unreleased “demo” Milla herself has published on her official site

The three-song set was followed by some inspired jamming from Milla and Matt Skiba, after which they threw an “encore performance” of all three aforementioned songs, before finally calling it a day, music-wise (she’s actually right now doing a live, post-concert video chat with her fans via Vokle.com!).

Don’t forget Milla Jovovich will be performing live online today, January 15, as part of her 200k Twitterbration!

In celebration of this, Milla is throwing another “Twitterbration”, this time including a live online performance of three songs via Vokle.com! Longtime friends Chris Brenner and Danny Lohner as well as Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio will be joining her for “show”, which will take place beginning 5 PM PST (local Los Angeles time), and as stated before, is indeed live, so be sure to check what time that’ll be in your time zone.

The performance will be streamed via Vokle.com @: http://vokle.com/events/815-millas-twitterbration

As her second Twitterbration charity, Milla encourages her fans to make donations to the Sophie’s Voice Foundation, the spina bifida treatment research foundation launched by Milla’s Resident Evil: Afterlife co-star Boris Kodjoe, whose daughter Sophie was born with the defect. Find out more about the foundation and make a donation at SophiesVoiceFoundation.org. Every little helps!

We have an update on the earlier November ’09 news that Milla Jovovich would be designing the next Tommy Hilfiger Limited Edition bag to benefit Breast Health International. Fibre2Fashion has a great news article with heaps of additional information on the bag and the upcoming ad campaign for it featuring Milla.

While the article doesn’t mention Milla assisting in designing the bag (unlike the Women’s Wear Daily article from last Fall), it does talk about an upcoming promotional campaign for the new bag, available in select stores as of April 2010, as photographed by fellow model and photographer, Helena Christensen. According to the article, Milla is the latest ambassador for the Tommy Hilfiger BHI charity initiative, and even features quotations on it from the actress. From Fibre2Fashion.com:

Tommy Hilfiger Europe announced the fourth in a series of limited-edition bags to benefit Breast Health International, a globally renowned organization committed to finding a cure for breast cancer. This year, Tommy Hilfiger has partnered with international supermodel and actress Milla Jovovich as ambassador for the program.

International supermodel and photographer Helena Christensen will also partner with Tommy Hilfiger by photographing Milla Jovovich. The limited-edition bag will be sold in select Tommy Hilfiger flagship stores, in key selected department stores and wholesale clients in Europe beginning April 2010.

“I am excited to work with Milla Jovovich and Helena Christensen in our continued support of the Breast Health International,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “With the limited-edition bag series we’ve been able to contribute to building breast cancer awareness, and offer our customers an opportunity to make their contribution as well.”

“As a devote supporter of charitable causes, I really am grateful to be the ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger’s initiative to support Breast Health International,” said Milla Jovovich. “To be a part of such an inspirational initiative is an incredible honor, and I hope that through our partnership we can help make a difference in the thousands of lives touched by the horrible disease.”

Former ambassador of the Limited Edition bag initiative and international supermodel, Helena Christensen, continues her partnership with Tommy Hilfiger. For this edition of the initiative, Helena has lent her creative talent to Tommy Hilfiger, by photographing Milla Jovovich. The campaign breaks in key fashion publications, in March 2010, while the images will also feature on all promotional materials for the initiative.

Check out two medium-res behind-the-scenes photos of Milla and photographer Christensen at the shoot from November ’09, courtesy of Milla Jovovich via Twitter, by clicking on the RHS preview. Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the print ads, coming this March!

As many of you will know, Milla Jovovich has been generously sharing video and photo material with her fans via her Twitter account @MillaJovovich, as launched in November 2009. Now, as announced on Twitter, Milla will be throwing a rare live online performance of three songs for her fans! Continue reading for more details, coming straight from the source via Twitter.

The live performance is currently scheduled for January 15, which will also mark Milla’s second “Twitterbration” in celebration of every 100,000 new followers she gets. Although it is likely Milla will reach 200,000 followers on Twitter before the Jan 15 date (she’s currently at a good 180,000), she says she has postponed the event because she will “be leaving tomorrow 4 my honeymoon”. According to Milla, Matt Skiba of the American punk rock band Alkaline Trio, Danny Lohner and Chris Brenner will also be joining her for the performance.

According to Milla’s Twitter, the acoustic performance will be streamed live via Vokle.com, a website for live online events, on Jan 15 @ 5-6 PM local Los Angeles time. As Milla’s second “Twitterbration” charity Milla would like for people to donate money to the Sophie’s Voice Foundation, the spina bifida treatment research foundation launched by Milla’s Resident Evil: Afterlife co-star Boris Kodjoe and his family (Kodjoe’s daughter was born with the spina bifida-defect). More information on how to donate can be found at SophiesVoiceFoundation.org, while Milla will surely keep us posted on when exactly to do so and be part of her 200k “Twitterbration”.

Don’t miss out on this rare musical treat from Milla! Especially if you’re not familiar with her past and present musical work, this will be an excellent opportunity for her fans to introduce themselves to a whole different side of her. Stay tuned for updates!
