Well, that’s a wrap! Wherever you are, we hope everyone was able to tune in to Milla Jovovich performing live online with her friends Chris Brenner, Danny Lohner and Alkaline Trio‘s Matt Skiba. The roughly hour-long performance on Vokle.com ended just moments ago, and here’s our coverage of it to those who missed it.
Although the performance started nearly 50 minutes late, at roughly 5:50 PM EST, it was well worth the wait. Spontaneous, inspired, warm, even a little improvised, Milla and friends performed the following set of songs for our hearing pleasure:
1. “Gentleman Who Fell” (remix) – from Milla’s 1994 debut album, The Divine Comedy
2. “The Mission” – Milla’s 2009 collaboration with Maynard James Keenan’s band, Puscifer
3. “Lazy Orbit” – an unreleased “demo” Milla herself has published on her official site
The three-song set was followed by some inspired jamming from Milla and Matt Skiba, after which they threw an “encore performance” of all three aforementioned songs, before finally calling it a day, music-wise (she’s actually right now doing a live, post-concert video chat with her fans via Vokle.com!).

In celebration of this, Milla is throwing another “Twitterbration”, this time including a live online performance of three songs via Vokle.com! Longtime friends Chris Brenner and Danny Lohner as well as Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio will be joining her for “show”, which will take place beginning 5 PM PST (local Los Angeles time), and as stated before, is indeed live, so be sure to check what time that’ll be in your time zone.

As many of you will know, Milla Jovovich has been generously sharing video and photo material with her fans via her Twitter account @MillaJovovich, as launched in November 2009. Now, as announced on Twitter, Milla will be throwing a rare live online performance of three songs for her fans! Continue reading for more details, coming straight from the source via Twitter.
The live performance is currently scheduled for January 15, which will also mark Milla’s second “Twitterbration” in celebration of every 100,000 new followers she gets. Although it is likely Milla will reach 200,000 followers on Twitter before the Jan 15 date (she’s currently at a good 180,000), she says she has postponed the event because she will “be leaving tomorrow 4 my honeymoon”. According to Milla, Matt Skiba of the American punk rock band Alkaline Trio, Danny Lohner and Chris Brenner will also be joining her for the performance.
According to Milla’s Twitter, the acoustic performance will be streamed live via Vokle.com, a website for live online events, on Jan 15 @ 5-6 PM local Los Angeles time. As Milla’s second “Twitterbration” charity Milla would like for people to donate money to the Sophie’s Voice Foundation, the spina bifida treatment research foundation launched by Milla’s Resident Evil: Afterlife co-star Boris Kodjoe and his family (Kodjoe’s daughter was born with the spina bifida-defect). More information on how to donate can be found at SophiesVoiceFoundation.org, while Milla will surely keep us posted on when exactly to do so and be part of her 200k “Twitterbration”.
Don’t miss out on this rare musical treat from Milla! Especially if you’re not familiar with her past and present musical work, this will be an excellent opportunity for her fans to introduce themselves to a whole different side of her. Stay tuned for updates!

Purple LOVE: Milla Jovovich
Success came quickly to the Ukrainian-born model, actress, and singer, Milla Jovovich — she began working professionally at the tender age of 11. Best known for playing kick-ass heroines in sci-fi and action movies, this glamour queen is actually a loving woman and an extremely romantic soul. In 2007 Milla had a baby named Ever Gabo Anderson with film director Paul W.S. Anderson. She has since found serenity and a new confidence in her approach to life, music, acting, and modeling. We asked Mario Sorrenti, a former lover of Milla’s, to capture her intimate persona.
Olivier Zahm: How did the shoot with Mario Sorrenti go?
Milla Jovovich: The feeling was beautiful and intimate, like we were creating a song or a poem with these photographs. I felt like I was part of the process. Before it was like, “I’m the model, you’re the photographer.” But this time there was a synergy. We were helping each other express ourselves. Mario and I have been friends for over ten years, so I’m very comfortable shooting with him. We care about each other. He’s a friend I totally trust. These are the first nudes I’ve done in over ten years, what with getting married and having a baby and everything. I got married when I was 22 and I felt like I shouldn’t do nudes anymore. Then after I got divorced the opportunity didn’t present itself. I did do nudes a couple of times with Peter Lindbergh, but it had been a long time. I had my clothing company, which took up five years of my life. I was working on films. I had a baby.
Olivier Zahm: Is it because of your baby that you stopped modeling for a while?
Milla Jovovich: Yes, because there were so many other things I was doing. But this story with Mario was an opportunity for me to love myself again as a woman, after working so hard to get my body back in shape. But it wasn’t like, “I’ll do a shoot with anybody.” No, it was with someone I trust, someone who isn’t going to judge me.
