Apologies for the delay in updates, today is the first time in a long, long time that I’ve had a solid internet connection. However, as I’m sure most have noticed, I have not been idle, and have steadily uploaded hi-res footage of Milla at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival, which wrapped up on May 25, to the gallery all week. I’ve just finished adding nearly 500 hi-res photos of Milla’s various Cannes appearances; many thanks to Dale and Liz for sending in some of them!

In addition to updating the existing Cannes albums, I also added some photos of Milla at the festival Dior party on May 23, looking absolutely gorgeous in a ruffled, strapless black mini. Personally, Milla looked fantastic the entire time she was in Cannes! My personal favorite, however, is without a doubt her amazing closing ceremony look, which had my jaw drop to the floor the minute I saw it.

More of Milla at the 61st Cannes International Film Festival! On Saturday, as expected, Milla attended the festival premiere of The Palermo Shooting with the rest of the cast and director Wim Wenders — and my goodness, did she just steal the red carpet or what? This look definitely ranks among my favorites ever; what a beautiful and classy outfit! And where does she get those gorgeous headbands? 76 medium-res photos of her at the event have been added to the gallery.

Furthermore, on May 23, Milla attended the festival Dolce & Gabbana party in Mougins - some of you surely noticed I uploaded the first photos already on Saturday, but I wasn’t able update about it until now. More footage coming soon. Finally, on May 25, Milla was spotted at the festival closing ceremony, looking her best ever — simply flawless. The first 23 medium-res photos of this event at the gallery.

Finally, a big thanks to our regular contributors Dale and Liz for keeping us posted with Milla’s doings in Cannes and for sending in amazing hi-res footage of Milla at the festival! After much speculation I am most pleased to announce Milla is indeed in Cannes, and is thus most likely to attend the May 24 Cannes Film Festival premiere of The Palermo Shooting. I’m in a crazy rush right now, but I’ve nevertheless added the first 50 medium-res photos of Milla at the Cannes Film Festival amfAR Gala benefit and after party on May 22 to the gallery, with many more additions coming up. And may I just say how absolutely stunning Milla looked at the event! She never disappoints. Thanks to Dale for the heads-up!

Just a quick reminder to everyone that Wim Wenders’ The Palermo Shooting, in which Milla makes a small cameo appearance as herself, will premiere at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. Hopefully Milla will be attending!

Yay! The recent online speculation regarding Wim Wenders’ The Palermo Shooting and the possibility of the film premiering at this year’s Cannes Film Festival is finally over; The Palermo Shooting has been confirmed as one of the films in this year’s competition lineup! Congratulations to the entire Palermo Shooting team!

The festival will take place in Cannes, France on May 14-25 2008. Milla has attended the festival many times in the past - hopefully, with the premiere of The Palermo Shooting, this year will be no exception. She is, however, currently filming A Perfect Getaway in Puerto Rico.

The Palermo Shooting is a Wim Wenders-directed drama film, in which Milla makes a small cameo appearance. Check out our Upcoming Productions-page for details!

The Hollywood Reporter has brought up the possibility of Wim Wenders’ The Palermo Shooting premiering this May at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. From The Hollywood Reporter:

Wim Wenders, perhaps the paragon of mixing cultures and countries, also could crash the party with his The Palermo Shooting. The movie, about an intergenerational love affair, is marked by an Italian setting and financing, a German character and such U.S. stars as Dennis Hopper and Milla Jovovich.

If the film does premiere at Cannes, I think it would be reasonable to expect Milla to attend. She has frequented the festival before, and filming for Azazel has been postponed to this Summer. Milla was last seen at the festival in 2005. We’ll keep you posted.

It is just my luck that Milla should make a ton of public appearances the one time the site is down for an extended period of time. You needn’t worry, however, as I have steadily saved pictures with each new appearance and have added all of them to the gallery.
