Some new miscellaneous Resident Evil: Afterlife-related media goodies today.

First, we have a couple of new pics at the gallery, namely a stunning new international poster as well as a hi-res version of the international “blue” poster revealed a couple of weeks back, a few Twitter skins from the official site at ResidentEvil-Movie.com and another cap of the official site design, all of which have been uploaded to the Posters-album at our gallery. Our Twitter account @MillaFan has also been updated with a new, Afterlife-themed look.

Then a couple of video clips. The “mini” movie clips we talked about in our initial update on the ResidentEvil-Movie.com site launch have now found their way to YouTube. Here are Milla Jovovich’s three clips as Alice:

Today, July 21, Milla Fan celebrates 4 years online! Gosh! It’s been four years already, guys.

As with every earlier anniversary (that we’ve remembered to celebrate), I just really want to extend a gigenormous thank you to all our loyal visitors, content contributors and everyone who’s somehow contributed or participated in making and extending the site, whether it be via content- or monetary donations, just commenting on updates, sending in feedback or even just through stopping by now and then. I always love to hear from you and I can’t tell you how much fun you guys make running this site. Milla really has the most incredible fans, and really just knowing there are people who enjoy this site so much to check in regularly makes all the work put into this site worth the while. And trust me when I tell you that every contribution and contributor has been noted and received with immense gratitude; both you and I know who you are. THANK YOU.

Also, a special mention to OurFandom.com, who have been a most reliable and flexible webhost to us for the past two years.

Here’s to (hopefully) another year of updates! :)

By the way, expect a kickass new layout for the site in the coming two weeks…

Just a quick heads-up that we’ve done a pretty thorough purge of spam bots and inactive users at the photo gallery today. This means we’ve deleted every gallery username that we’ve suspected of having been spam and every username that’s been inactive since August 2009 or earlier — totaling at 1,650 usernames. Usernames that hadn’t been activated via the activation email as of February 2010 or earlier were also deleted. This has been done to keep the spam out and to conserve database space and therein ensure the continued functionality of the gallery. Gallery users who have logged in at the gallery in September 2009 or later should find their accounts intact, however if you find yourself unable to log in, your account is likely to have been (mistakenly) deleted and you will need to re-register (and are of course most welcome to do so as well). Thanks for your understanding!

Just a quick heads-up that updates might be a little slow here this Spring. Although we have a huge(!) load of various goodies coming up for the site (including, but certainly not limited to, a new design), at the moment we’re a bit “internet-handicapped”, as it were. Whenever there are any newsworthy developments, though, we’ll be sure to update the site as often and soon as possible!

Onto today’s news. It’s a long time ago since we had any news on that Tiffany & Co. ad campaign Milla Jovovich tweeted about last November, however, thanks to Liz and Flashbang @ The Fashion Spot, we finally have an update. To begin with, we at last have Milla’s long-awaited campaign print ad, as photographed by Michael Thompson. Seeing as Milla shares this campaign with fellow models Karen Elson, Noémie Lenoir and Doutzen Kroes, it’s likely this is the only picture of Milla in the campaign. Lovely, though, isn’t it?

Furthermore, Milla’s recent Simon Upton-photographed shoot for Harper’s Bazaar is making its third appearance on the cover of the publication, this time the May 2010 issue of the Czech edition, a preview of which has been uploaded to the gallery (please remember to register and/or log in to access the magazine-section). The shoot, as originally featured in the April issue of Singaporean Bazaar, has furthermore been featured in the Malaysian April issue of the magazine. Finally, we’ve updated the gallery with a behind-the-scenes picture of Milla and photographer Upton from the January ’10 Los Angeles shoot. Enjoy!

The official Facebook page for Singaporean Harper’s Bazaar has released the cover for their April 2010 issue, in which we reported earlier this year that Milla Jovovich is featured in a brand new editorial. To our surprise and pleasure Milla is on the cover as well! Check out a medium-res preview of the lovely cover at our gallery. Thanks to Hector @ The Fashion Spot for the heads-up!

As always, we’ll be doing our best to obtain scans from this issue for the site, however this isn’t an easy one to get for us, so if you’d like to help us by sending in yours, please do so! You’ll be fully credited for your contribution. Thank you. Also, don’t forget to register and/or log in at the gallery to view the material in our Magazine Scans-section.

On another note, please check back with us for updates this weekend as we’re preparing a big coverage update on Milla’s Thursday’s appearance at the Tommy Hilfiger Breast Health International LE Bag Launch in Madrid, Spain. Stay tuned.

Today’s update I’m afraid has nothing to do with Milla Jovovich, but rather a new site I have recently launched. Please excuse me while I indulge myself for just a moment.

I’d just like to point you in the direction of David Wenham News, a brand new news- and mediablog dedicated to the extraordinary Australian actor David Wenham, perhaps best known internationally for his portrayal of Faramir in the critically acclaimed Lord of the Rings-sequels, The Two Towers and The Return of the King. More recently, David has appeared in films such as 300, Public Enemies and Pope Joan. David Wenham News is a humble tribute to the actor and his career.

That’s it for our off-topic update. Regular Milla updates will now resume!

Well, folks, it’s that time of the year again. I will be out of town and out of reach 19.-26.12.2009, throughout which Milla Fan will not be updated. We’ll furthermore be unable to read or respond to email sent to us in this time. We’ll be sure update the site with all the news and media we’ve missed during this period of time once we return + some very special extra goodies we have in store for you guys. Stay with us!
