Below are answered some questions related to the most common technical difficulties people have experienced in browsing the site and its contents.
• The layout is all over the place in my browser! Can you fix this?
The designs featured at Milla Fan are in most cases tested in the most common web browsers today, namely Internet Explorer (6), Firefox (2) and Safari (3). Unfortunately, due to such a wide range of browsers and their respective versions, it is rather difficult to make a layout fully cross-browser compatible. If you are having difficulties viewing the site, I suggest trying one of the aforementioned browsers.
• I can’t see the site, only a Wordpress database error message. What’s going on?
It probably means the MySQL server is temporarily down or busy. Don’t worry, it’ll be back soon.
• I didn’t get the activation email for the gallery/media archive. What can I do?
If you haven’t gotten the email within an hour and have made sure it hasn’t gotten stuck in your spam filter, it probably won’t find your way at all. Please email me with your registered username and I’ll be happy to activate it for you. There is no need to re-register.
• I didn’t get the password reset email for the gallery/media archive. What can I do?
If you haven’t gotten the email within an hour and have made sure it hasn’t gotten stuck in your spam filter, it probably won’t find your way at all. Please email me with your registered username (and desired password) and I’ll be happy to reset it for you. There is no need to re-register.
• The video archive has no files! What’s going on?
If you are only seeing a “No image to display” message when accessing the video archive, it simply means you are not logged in. Only registered and logged in members of the media archive can view and download the contents of the video archive.
• Upon logging in, the gallery/media archive script welcomes me, then logs me out! Help?
This is a regrettably common with scripts such as Coppermine Photo Gallery. It is a cookie problem that presents itself with many other php/MySQL scripts, and to my knowledge there is no solid solution for this. Personally, I’ve found that deleting my cookies and/or temporary internet files and/or switching to another browser helps, but that is really all the solution I can offer.
• The gallery/media archive script says I’m banned! What’s going on?
Coppermine Photo Gallery puts a temporary ban in place once you or someone else has tried to log in with an incorrect username-password combination too many times. Don’t worry, the ban should be lifted after a short while.
